The micro-grid controller is a multi-platform controller, which executes, in real-time, programmed algorithms to stabilize and operate a small grid, built upon loads and/or renewable and non-renewable distributed resources. The controller is built upon three main components:
- Processor unit. This unit executes the algorithms.
- Grid monitoring system. This is the one in charged of translating the grid variables in processed data.
- Input-output system. The system that communicates with the devices, from few to hundredths of units.
